“With a degree to teach biology, chemistry, math and to coach sports, my background, from an educational standpoint, is in secondary education,” Kerst said. “This is my way to be involved and give back to some of the young adults at the primary level.”
Kerst’s former nonprofit affiliations include the Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association, the Yampa Valley Health Care Association, Routt County 4-H, Steamboat Springs Rotary Club, Strings in the Mountains, the Community Agriculture Alliance, Yampa Valley Legacy Committee, Steamboat Springs Pro Rodeo Series and Ski Town Rotary Club.
