12:41 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers contacted a driver who was going slowly on U.S. Highway 40. The driver wanted to practice driving to the driver's license facility before taking a driving test the next day.

1:35 p.m. Officers were called to a report of criminal mischief at a cross country trail system in the 1200 block of Steamboat Boulevard. An employee found tire chains on the trails and discovered someone had driven on the trails. A person then called asking about the tire chains, and the employee decided to report the incident to police. There was no permanent damage done to the trails.

2 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a woman who left a purse on a bus. When the purse was recovered, money was missing.

3:19 p.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a person who fell in the 2700 block of Ski Trail Lane.

3:49 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person in the 500 block of Harms Court who had a credit card account opened in their name.

4:58 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to a report of a possible structure fire in the 1100 block of Bangtail Way. There was smoke in the building. Firefighters determined it was coming from a ventilation system motor.

5:17 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a person who had a stroke at a retirement community in the 2800 block of Owl Hoot Trail.

7:48 p.m. Officers were called to a report of trespassing in the 3000 block of Mountaineer Circle.

8:41 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a person having a seizure in the 1100 block of Lincoln Avenue.

11:08 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person trying to start fights at a bar in the 800 block of Lincoln Avenue. Police told the person not to return to the bar.
