Jenn Warren: AEDs needed
June 27, 2010
I am absolutely amazed that Gary Wall has proposed having automated external defibrillators in Routt County Sheriff's Office vehicles for two years and that Doug Monger has no clue what they are. It seems to me that he should understand something clearly before he recommends it be cut from the budget. In a county that has so many people living outside of the city limits, you would think it would be a priority that Sheriff's Office deputies carry AEDs in their vehicles. The deputies travel throughout the entire county. Wouldn't it make sense that they are equipped to save lives? Doug Monger could easily learn what he needs to know about AEDs by taking one of the many inexpensive CPR classes offered in the Yampa Valley.
