Jaelin Kauf: Thank you, Steamboat
May 9, 2016
Growing up in Ski Town USA and participating in the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club, I've learned more than how to simply improve my skills on skis. I've learned the benefits of passion, dedication, hard work, commitment and teamwork.
Steamboat has given me so many opportunities and opened doors for me that I would never have had anywhere else.
After winning U.S. Selections in December, I competed in my first World Cup event, earned my first World Cup podium and walked away with the FIS World Cup Rookie of the Year Award.
While my results this season surpassed my initial expectations, I am driven to continue to progress and improve. Being part of the SSWSC freestyle team and having such knowledgeable and dedicated coaches helped prepare me to take the next step in my career.
I have officially been named to the U.S. Ski Team and am now moving to Park City to continue my training. It is very hard to leave Steamboat, but I am enthusiastic about all that is to come.

It is an honor to be part of the legacy of freestyle excellence that the SSWSC and Steamboat have created. I am so thankful for all the help and encouragement I have received from the Steamboat community.
Thank you, Steamboat and the Steamboat Spring Winter Sports Club.
