Steamboat Today unveils commemorative 2018 Olympics pin

Staff report

The Steamboat Pilot & Today has sent reporters to cover every Winter Olympics since 2002, and this year is no exception as Sports Editor Joel Reichenberger heads to Pyeongchang, South Korea, on Feb. 4 to cover the Games.

But for the first time, in 2018, the newspaper has created a commemorative Olympic pin that people can purchase and that Reichenberger will be trading during his time in South Korea.

Steamboat Pilot & Today’s Olympic pin salutes the tradition of great ski jumpers who’ve honed their technique at Howelsen Hill, with a nod to the famous pagodas throughout South Korea. The pin also celebrates Steamboat's proud tradition of producing Winter Olympians – 88 and counting.

The pins can be purchased online at SteamboatToday.com/pins.
