Following are holiday services announced by area churches:

The Hayden Congrega–tional United Church of Christ will hold a Holy Week “Shadows” Service at 7:30 p.m. today at the church. The church also is holding a community sunrise service at 6 a.m. Sunday on the east patio of The Haven Assisted Living Center, 300 S. Shelton Lane. The service will be followed by a breakfast prepared and served by children in the church’s Parish Hall, 202 E. Jefferson Ave. Call 276-3510.



The First Baptist Church of Yampa is hosting an Easter breakfast at 9 a.m. Sunday. An Easter worship service is from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the church, 143 Main St. in Yampa. Call 638-4622.

United Methodist Church of Steamboat Springs is offering a Holy Thursday service at 7 p.m. Thursday. An ecumenical Good Friday and Stations of the Cross service begins at 12:15 p.m. Friday. An Easter vigil is at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, and Easter services are at 9:30 and 11 a.m. Sunday. The church is at Eighth and Oak streets. Call 879-1290.



The Steamboat Springs Christian Center is hosting an Easter Eggstravaganza at 1 p.m. Saturday. The free Easter egg hunt is for children ages 2 to 11. There will be 2,000 Easter eggs, clowns, face-painting, balloons, prizes, hot dogs, a cakewalk and more. The church’s Easter service is at 10 a.m. Sunday at the church, 821 Dougherty Road off East U.S. Highway 40. Call 879-0063.

Euzoa Bible Church, 32305 Routt County Road 38, is hosting Easter services at 9 and 11 a.m. Sunday. There are no evening services. Call 879-0123.

Concordia Lutheran Church will hold a Maundy Thursday communion service at 7 p.m. today; a Good Friday service at 7 p.m. Friday; a showing of “The Passion of the Christ” at 5:30 p.m. Saturday; a sunrise service at 6:30 a.m. Sunday; and Easter services at 8 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. Sunday. Easter breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will hold Easter services at 9 a.m. Sunday at the chapel, 1155 Central Park Drive. Call 879-0220.

First Baptist Church of Steamboat Springs is holding Easter Sunday services at 8 a.m., a 9 a.m. free pancake breakfast and a 10:30 a.m. late-morning worship service. Call 879-1446. To get to the church, turn left immediately before Steamboat Springs Airport off Routt County Road 129.

South Routt Bible Church will hold a special Easter service at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at the church, Colorado Highway 131 between Oak Creek and Phippsburg. Call 736-2787.

The Community United Methodist Church in Oak Creek is hosting a Holy Thursday service beginning at 6 p.m. with Holy Communion, a community meal and foot washing. A Good Friday worship with the Stations of the Cross is at 7:30 p.m. Easter Sunday breakfast is at 8:30 a.m., Easter worship is at 10 a.m., and an Easter egg hunt will follow the worship service. Anchor Way Baptist Church is offering Easter Sun–day services at 8:45 and 10:45 a.m. at the church, 40650 Anch–or Way in Steamboat II. Call 879-7062.

Har Mishpacha, Steamboat Springs’ Jewish community, is hosting a Passover Seder with Rabbi Goldman at 5:30 p.m. today at the Steamboat Grand Resort Hotel. Call Alan Rudolph at 879-9558. Shabbat services with Rabbi Goldman are at 7 p.m. Friday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. An Oneg follows the service.
