Health briefs: Program to examine precision medicine in cancer treatment

Join a panel of oncologists and medical researchers from Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center to learn about precision medicine through this educational forum for patients, families, medical professionals and everyone touched by cancer.
Find out how precision medicine is making a difference in the lives of patients and their families. The event, hosted by Northwest Colorado Health, in association with Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center, will take place from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday, July 17 at Strings Music Festival.

Weigh and Win kiosk at Northwest Colorado Health
Weigh and Win is a free community program that provides cash incentives to participants who reach their weight-loss goals. Participants weigh in quarterly at a kiosk located in the lobby at Northwest Colorado Health, 940 Central Park Drive, Suite 101.

Between weigh ins, participants receive daily emails or texts with tips about healthy eating, exercise and overcoming weight-loss challenges.
Weigh and Win is a nonprofit program aimed at reducing obesity rates in Colorado. Participation is free. The kiosk is available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Participants can enroll at the kiosk, at weighandwin.com or by texting JOIN to 303-500-1702.

Mountain Madness run/walk to benefit Northwest Colorado Health
The Steamboat Springs Running Series Mountain Madness half marathon and 10K will begin 7:30 a.m. Saturday, July 1 at the Steamboat Springs Parks and Recreation Parking lot, 245 Howelsen Parkway.
All proceeds benefit Northwest Colorado Health. Walkers are welcome in the 10K, and there will be a kids' dash at 10 a.m. Entries start at $25 and include post-race food, prizes for winners and a raffle entry. Register at steamboatrunningseries.com. Race day registration ends at 7 a.m.
