Hayden Reader of Week: Camo, the wonder dog

Camo

Camo, the 2 1/2-year-old wonder dog, is this summer's first Reader of the Week at Hayden Public Library.

The Hayden Public Library kicks off the annual Summer Reading Program by naming Camo, the wonder dog, the Reader of the Week.

The 2 1/2-year-old dog has been attending library programs his whole life and often visits Hayden Public Library with his friend Dave to participate in Preschool Story Hour.

Camo's parents are Daisy Flower and Slick Barnes. He has two brothers, Ace and Hunter, and a sister, River. His owner is Pearly Gates, of Hayden.

Besides listening to books at the library, Camo likes to play with Joe Reed, Seven Hamilton and Mork.

His favorite color is camouflage, his favorite food is liver treats and he likes the TV shows "Animal Planet" and "National Geographic." He also enjoys napping, running, jumping and scratching. His favorite subject is obedience, and his favorite sports are fetching the ball and playing tug-of-war. He enjoys the book "Always in Trouble" by Corrine Demas and "Clifford the Big Red Dog" by Norman Bridwell. During the summer, he plans on going to the park and camping.
