Haines named Yampatika executive director

Yampatika has appointed Joe Haines as executive director.
In his new role, Haines will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the organization, as well as fundraising.
He started with the organization May 9.
"Joe is a seasoned professional with more than 20 years' experience in all areas of nonprofit leadership," said Shari Fryer, board president for Yampatika. "We are excited about his commencement and are particularly looking forward to benefiting from his depth of experience in development work, which includes individual donor management, grant writing, corporate fundraising, special events, capital campaigns and planned giving."
"I am excited to be leading such a forward-thinking and exceptional organization," added Haines. "Yampatika plays an important role in Steamboat Springs and the Yampa Valley and is supported by a passionate team of professionals and volunteers. I am truly honored to be a part of Yampatika."

Prior to joining Yampatika, Haines worked for such organizations as Mi Casa Resource Center, Goodwill Industries, The Action Center, Rocky Mountain Alley Cat Alliance, Mosaic, Camp Fire USA and Cavalry Women's Shelter.
Reporting to Haines are Kellie Gorman, program director; Sue Hansen, office manager; and Ilse Brandon, membership and donor coordinator.
Haines and his wife, Julia, are relocating to Steamboat Springs from Denver.
Yampatika connects people to nature and works to inspire environmental stewardship through education.
