Guess the peak of I-70 ski traffic jams in contest

Vail Daily Staff

— Ever find yourself getting off the slopes and wondering if you want to jump on the highway or maybe chill a bit to avoid the grind back down the mountains?

GoI70.com announces a new contest to help you answer the question, "should I stay or should I go?" In the "Guess the Mess" game, you can guess the peak of Sunday's eastbound traffic jam and win. There will be two first prize winners of a pair of lift tickets each to Arapahoe Basin or Copper Mountain Resort. Six runners up will receive a gift certificate to the Dillon Dam Brewery or a pair of Teko ski socks.

To help you choose the right answer, go to the GoI70.com blog at http://goi70.com/wp/. It will tell you everything you need to know about traffic on I-70.

You will be surprised how easy it is to pick the best and worst times to travel. Add in your own knowledge of weather, snow conditions and make a guess. In fact, you can guess as many as five times. Your last guess before 3 p.m. will be your final and only entry in the contest.

The easiest way to play is to go to GoI70.com and join the Messages social network. The Twitter feed and social network also will keep you up to date about the conditions and speeds on I-70. You enter the contest by posting your guess directly to Messages. While you are there, you can join in the conversation — post your observations about the highway, the day and what's happening in the mountains.

Guess the Mess will run every weekend for the next four weeks.
