George Noyer: No credibility
October 4, 2005
I am writing in response to candidate for City Council Towny Anderson’s comments in the September “Boat Biz,” specifically his statement, “Understanding one another and our respective interest is the first step toward a relationship built on trust and mutual respect.” The context here is the testy relationship between city and county elected officials.
His words would sound reasonable were it not for his active participation as the leader of the recent Justice Center fiasco. Excuse me if I am skeptical that he could take any steps toward “a relationship built on trust and mutual respect” with the county. His actions and lawsuit will cost the county significantly. We will all pay for this selfish personal cause.
Anderson’s credibility with the commissioners is non-existent. He burned those bridges by his own choice.
