Florence “Jackie” Standridge

1918-2001

Florence “Jackie” Standridge of Steamboat Springs died Sept. 6, 2001, at the Doak Walker Care Center. She was 83.

Jackie was born Sept. 3, 1918, in Amber, Okla. to the late Frank and Clara (Edwards) Stephens.

She married Thomas G. Standridge July 23, 1938, in Grady County, Okla. He preceded her in death Nov. 1984.

Jackie was a homemaker; she was a great cook and liked to fish. She moved back to Routt County in 1995 from New Mexico.

She is survived by a son, William Standridge and wife Bonnie of Hayden; two grandsons, Mark and Dennis and wife Marsha; a great-granddaughter, Keely; a daughter-in-law, Joy Standridge of Fallon, Nev.; a sister, Adeline Conder of Oklahoma and a half brother, William Standridge of Little Rock, Ark.

She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Lee, and brothers, Gerald and J.M.

Graveside services were held Sept.10, 2001, at the Hayden Cemetery. Rev. Doug Zirkle officiated. Peterson Funeral Home of Steamboat was in charge of arrangements.
