Steamboat Springs — It's difficult to choose what to do this weekend with the USA Pro Challenge, All Arts Festival, Routt County Fair, Pro Rodeo Series, Farmer's Market, Steamboat Stinger marathon and the final Free Summer Concert Series with the Jeff Austin Band. For those looking for something different to, Explore has the top five picks for this weekend’s round of events.
Each day of the week, artists of different mediums will set up an "open air studio" in front of five downtown businesses, including Steamboat Floral, Ciao Gelato, Steamboat Smokehouse, Steamboat Art Company and the Jewelry & Fossil Shop Of Steamboat. The local artists will represent the literary, performance, music, visual and culinary arts. Each of those art genres will be represented at the Depot Art Center for the Creative Mixology event, which will offer something a little extra and unexpected to the week's festivities with performances, music, culinary demonstrations, craft cocktails and a display of visual art.
Creative Mixology | 5:30 to 7 p.m. | Friday, Aug. 14 | Depot Art Center, 1001 13th St. | Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at steamboatarts.org, at All That, or by calling 970-879-9008.
