Police, fire and ambulance calls

12:43 a.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a person with a medical problem in the 3100 block of South Lincoln Avenue.

2:33 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a bear that was repeatedly trying to get into secured trash on Buena Vista Court.

6:35 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a bear that was getting into trash and messing around a construction site in the first block of Anglers Drive.

7:04 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a found credit card at Yampa and Eighth Streets.

7:14 a.m. West Routt Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a person with a medical problem at a church in the 300 block of Sunflower Drive.

10:26 a.m. Yampa Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help with a truck that hit a utility pole.

10:53 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a wallet found at the Yampa River.

2:40 p.m. Officers were called to a report of threats involving former roommates arguing over a phone bill in the 3700 block of Lincoln Avenue.

2:43 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a theft in the 1400 block of Pine Grove Road. An office manager said a former employee took equipment and had started his own business.

3:59 p.m. Officers were called to a report of drug activity in Steamboat.

4:48 p.m. Officers were called to enforce city codes in the 700 block of Mauna Kea Lane. A person put items in another person's recycling container. The person came back and removed the items.

5:34 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help an unconscious child in the 200 block of River Road.

6:26 p.m. Officers were called to a report of theft in the 200 block of Anglers Drive. A woman in the area picked up some cats found running loose in the area. The woman then went through a coffee shop drive-thru, and a transient man jumped on her car. The woman freaked out and drove home with the cats. The cats were later picked up by a deputy, taken to the animal shelter and checked out by a vet. The cats were then returned to the transient man, who owned the cats. The transient man wanted the woman charged with theft, and the woman wanted the transient man charged with attempted carjacking. No charges were filed.

7:45 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a bear getting into trash in the 800 block of Howelsen Parkway. It could not be located.

7:54 p.m. Officers were called to a report of tools stolen from a pickup overnight at a hotel in the 3100 block of South Lincoln Avenue.

10:57 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a bear in the 1700 block of Central Park Drive. It was scared away.

11:22 p.m. Officers contacted a man skateboarding in the middle of Lincoln Avenue and gave him a warning.

11:27 p.m. Officers contacted a man using a slim jim to get into a car at Yampa and 10th Streets. The car belonged to the man.
