Police, fire and ambulance calls

4:21 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a crash at Loggers Lane and Lincoln Avenue. The driver was later located and taken to Yampa Valley Medical Center and given a summons for driving under the influence of drugs.

5:21 a.m. Oak Creek Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a person with a medical problem in the 200 block of West Main Street.

7:43 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a person illegally putting things in a dumpster in the 2600 block of Copper Ridge Circle.

9:58 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious man at Seventh Street and Lincoln Avenue. A woman was sitting in a car at a stoplight and said a man was staring at her. The woman asked the man if he needed anything, and he reportedly said "I'm just checking you out." The man then began yelling obscenities.

3:48 p.m. A woman drove to the police department because her teenage son was going to speak to a detective. Police suspected the 47-year-old woman had been drinking, and she was arrested on suspicion of driving while ability impaired and child abuse.

4:28 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious man at the Bud Werner Memorial Library bus stop. The man seemed disoriented and smelled like alcohol. He could not be located.

7:21 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a dispute regarding the sale of a business in the 1800 block of Lincoln Avenue. It was a civil situation.

7:26 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who wanted to complain about all the black exhaust coming from a truck at Anglers Drive and South Lincoln Avenue. It could not be located.

9:18 p.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a person having a seizure in the 2000 block of Snow Bowl Plaza.

10:31 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a group of people being loud and playing basketball in the 1000 block of 13th Street. They could not be located.
