Police, fire and ambulance calls

12:50 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a bear trying to get into a dumpster on Mid Valley Drive.

3:26 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a bear in a dumpster in the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue. It was scared away.

6:25 a.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a person with a medical problem in the 300 block of Ninth Street.

8:36 a.m. A found purse was turned in at the police department.

8:55 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a man sleeping in the bed of a pickup in the 400 block of Tamarack Drive. The man refused to leave when asked by management. Police told the man not to return.

10:37 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a man in the 2500 block of Honeysuckle Lane who was threatened.

10:42 a.m. Officers were called to a report of people sitting on the railroad tracks at 13th Street and Shield Drive. They refused to leave when asked by a railroad employee. They were gone when officers arrived.

10:56 a.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a person having a seizure in the 1700 block of Central Park Drive.

11:22 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a driver speeding at Yampa and Eighth streets. The driver could not be located.

11:33 a.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to a report of a small wildfire at Fish Creek Reservoir. The person who found it was able to put it out. It was suspected the fire was started by lightning.

12:50 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a wallet lost on Emerald Mountain.

1:57 p.m. Officers were called to a report of an abandoned vehicle in the 500 block of Eaglepointe Court.

2:56 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person driving erratically in the 1400 block of South Lincoln Avenue. The driver could not be located.

3:20 p.m. Officers were called to check on children left alone in a car in the 200 block of Anglers Drive. No one was inside the car when officers arrived.

4:32 p.m. Yampa Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help with a fuel spill at a gas station in the 16000 block of Colorado Highway 131.

4:52 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a wallet found at Bud Werner Memorial Library.

6:23 p.m. Oak Creek Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a person who was having difficulty breathing near mile marker 54 on Colo. 131.

10:05 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a woman who skipped out on a $40 bill at a Mexican restaurant in the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue. The woman was located. She had been drinking margaritas at the restaurant, and there was a court order that forbad her from drinking. The 32-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of theft and for violating a protection order.

11:57 p.m. Oak Creek firefighters were called to help a woman who was having difficulty with childbirth.
