Police, fire and ambulance calls

2:59 a.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to a report of a 25-year-old man losing consciousness after sledding into a parked snowcat at Howelsen Hill. The crash occurred on the 70-meter ski jump outrun. The man was flown to a Front Range hospital.

6:11 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a man yelling obscenities at Little Toots Park. He was not located.

6:41 a.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to a report of an outside gas leak in the 38800 block of Main Street in Milner.

8:54 a.m. North Routt Fire Protection District firefighters were called to a report of someone suffering a fall at the Steamboat Lake marina parking lot.

9:01 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a female driver honking and flipping people off near the Pine Grove area. She was not located.

10:22 a.m. Officers were called to a report of criminal mischief at the ski area. A water fountain had been knocked off a wall. The case is still being investigated.

10:27 a.m. Officers were called to a report of theft in the 2900 block of Heavenly View. Scaffolding had been disassembled and pieces of it were missing.

12:00 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to a report of someone having breathing difficulties at Howelsen Hill.

1:23 p.m. Oak Creek Fire Protection District firefighters were called to a report of someone suffering a fall in the 300 block of Grant Avenue in Oak Creek.

2:01 p.m. Officers were contacted by the parent of a student regarding possible drugs at the middle school.

2:43 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a hit-and-run crash near Walmart.

2:47 p.m. Routt County Sheriff's Office deputies were called to a report of an animal complaint in the 40800 block of Purple Sage Court.

2:51 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to a report of someone having difficulty breathing in the 34900 block of Country Green Road.

3:07 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of an animal complaint near Tree Haus Drive and William Street.

3:32 p.m. Officers were called to a report of someone walking a German shepherd off leash in the 2300 block of Mount Werner Circle.

3:49 p.m. Officers were called to a report of half a dozen chickens in the road near Pahwintah Street and Merritt Street. The chickens were caught and moved to safety.

4:23 p.m. Routt County Search and Rescue was dispatched to a report of a woman who was lost on Emerald Mountain. The search was called off after she found her own way to safety.

6:14 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a loud party in the 3200 block of Snowflake Circle. They were given a warning and told to quiet down.

6:28 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a civil complaint in the 23800 block of Routt County Road 16 in Oak Creek.

6:38 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to a report of someone suffering from abdominal pain in the 200 block of Fifth Street.

8:49 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of an animal bite in the 31600 block of Annanina.

11:59 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a disturbance involving domestic violence at a business in the 900 block of Lincoln Avenue. A man was arrested for child abuse, violation of a protection order and second degree criminal trespassing.
