Police, fire and ambulance calls

9:41 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a suspicious person at Hilltop Parkway and South Lincoln Avenue. Someone was concerned about a man and child walking in the area.

9:48 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a backpack lost at a grocery store in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive.



10:41 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a person in the 1500 block of Shadow Run Frontage who found a container with marijuana. Police took it.

12:54 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who was concerned about a suspicious car that had been parked at West End Village. It was gone when officers arrived.



12:55 p.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a person with a medical problem in the 700 block of Amethyst Drive.

1:08 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person texting and driving at Third Street and Lincoln Avenue. The driver could not be located.

2:26 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a laptop stolen in the 1800 block of River Queen Lane.

3:08 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a car alarm going off at Yampa and Eighth Street. The owner was contacted.

3:14 p.m. West Routt Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a person who was having difficulty breathing in the 300 block of South Shelton Lane.

4:53 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a drunken person who left a bar and drove away in the 600 block of Marketplace Plaza. The driver could not be located.

5:11 p.m. Officers were called to a report of people skateboarding in the road in the 2400 block of Ski Trail Lane. They could not be located.

5:46 p.m. Officers were called to a report of someone driving erratically, yelling and flipping people off in the 1000 block of Walton Creek Road. The driver could not be located.

8:06 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a person having difficulty breathing in the 600 block of Tamarack Drive.

8:26 p.m. West Routt firefighters were called to help a person with chest pain in the 400 block of East Washington Avenue.

10:54 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help an unconscious person in the 2500 block of Melrose Lane. A woman in her 60s died. The death was not suspicious.
