Police, fire and ambulance calls

6:40 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a bear in the road while race crews were trying to set up the USA Pro Challenge event.

9:24 a.m. West Routt Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a person with back pain in the 300 block of South Shelton Lane.

10:46 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a drunken man at the USA Pro Challenge Race in the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue. He could not be located.

11:16 a.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a person who fell at Lincoln Avenue and 13th Street.

12:37 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a drunken USA Pro Challenge volunteer working at the VIP tent. Race officials wanted him escorted away.

12:38 p.m. Oak Creek Fire Protection District firefighters were called to investigate smoke in the Stagecoach area. It was coming from a fire pit.

12:58 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help an unconscious person in the 2900 block of West Acres Drive. The person was deceased, and it was suspected they died of natural causes.

3:39 p.m. Oak Creek firefighters were called to help a person with chest pain in the 100 block of East Main Street.

3:57 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a man exposing himself to people on the Yampa River Core Trail at the Stock Bridge Transit Center. A victim got the man's license plate, and police were able to contact him. The man told police he was going to turn himself in Wednesday at the Routt County Jail.

4:15 p.m. Officers were called to a report of $700 worth of clothing stolen from a business in the 800 block of Lincoln Avenue.

6:07 p.m. Officers were called to check on the welfare of a man who crashed his bike at Fetcher Park. The man was taken to Yampa Valley Medical Center.

6:16 p.m. Officers were called to a report of tourists poking an injured porcupine with sticks in the 1100 block of Lincoln Avenue.

6:25 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a man who looked dazed and confused on Old Fish Creek Falls Road. He was later contacted, and it was suspected the man had a mental health issue.

6:32 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help with an accident in the 300 block of Steamboat Boulevard.

7:44 p.m. North Routt Fire Protection District firefighters were called to investigate smoke in the 47800 block of Routt County Road 52W.

8 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person driving recklessly on the closed off portion of Lincoln Avenue. The driver could not be located.

8:42 p.m. Oak Creek firefighters were called to a report of a person who saw a lightning strike and flames in the Stagecoach area. No fire could be located.

8:44 p.m. Yampa Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a person who was bleeding in the 27700 block of Routt County Road 7C.

8:45 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to a report of a lightning strike near mile marker 147 on U.S. Highway 40 on Rabbit Ears Pass.

10:58 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious incident in the 1300 block of Blue Sage Drive. Two transients showed up at a man's residence. The man's former roommate told the transients they could stay there, but the man did not want them staying there.

11 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a bear getting into trash at a carwash in the 100 block of Trafalgar Drive.

11:21 p.m. Officers were called to a report of people partying at a closed pool in the first block of Cypress Court. They were told to leave.
