Police, fire and ambulance calls

12:14 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of an intrusion at City Hall. It was a false alarm.

9:16 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a gun that was reported stolen from Steamboat Springs in the 1980s being pawned somewhere in Texas. The pawn shop ran the serial number on the gun and alerted local authorities when it came up as stolen.

11:03 a.m. Officers saw a person trying to get into a vehicle with an alarm going off in the parking lot at Shadow Run. Police determined the person was a friend of the person who owned the car and wasn’t using the key correctly.

12:03 p.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of a person who was bitten by a a dog in the 31000 block of Routt County Road 14.

12:23 p.m. Officers were called to a report of people praying in front of Planned Parenthood downtown. Police determined the people weren’t doing anything criminal.

3:01 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a vehicle that appeared to have multiple license plates in a parking garage off Ski Time Square Drive. Police determined everything was OK.

3:44 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who was trying to get into the back door of the U.S. Post Office downtown.

4:10 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a soccer ball in the middle of the road on U.S. Highway 40 near the intersection of Pine Grove Road. Drivers were reportedly swerving to avoid the ball, and the caller was concerned someone was going to crash. The soccer ball was gone when officers arrived.

5:39 p.m. Officers were called to check on the welfare of a woman who had not talked to family members for several days after she didn’t turn herself in to authorities on an arrest warrant. Police found the woman and arrested her.
