— Local police have reason to believe three teenagers wanted in connection with a carjacking early Thursday morning in Aurora may have traveled to Routt County.

Routt County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Doug Scherar said Aurora police tracked one of the suspect’s phones and detected it around the Oak Creek area. The tracking information is not totally reliable in the mountains, but police have still been on the lookout for the grey 2005 Chevrolet Equinox that was stolen. The Colorado license plate is 255QKE.

No one was injured in the parking lot carjacking at 1:10 a.m., but Aurora police said at least one gun was involved.

The teenagers are considered armed and dangerous.
