Community blood drive slated to be held at hospital Thursday

The first community blood drive of the year will be held from 12:30 to 6 p.m. Thursday at UCHealth Yampa Valley Medical Center, 1024 Central Park Drive, in conjunction with Bonfils Blood Center. Donors are asked to bring an ID, eat a nutritious meal and drink plenty of water before donating blood.
Walk-ins are welcome, especially after 4 p.m. as space permits, but appointments are encouraged. Call Bonfils Appointment Center at 1-800-365-0006, option 2, or sign up atbonfils.org using site code 0234.
Donors will be treated to complimentary pizza from Soda Creek Pizza, snacks from Honey Stinger and refreshments provided by Bonfils Blood Center. Donors also receive a coupon.
Singers invited to join choral group; rehearsals begin Thursday
Yampa Valley Singers will begin weekly rehearsals from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Steamboat Springs. All singers are invited to join this community chorus, directed by Christel Houston, as the group prepares for "Journey Home" concerts on April 13 and 14, 2018. Steamboat Dance Theatre 46th annual concert tickets on sale

Tickets are on sale for Steamboat Dance Theatre's 46th annual concert, which takes place Jan. 25 to Jan. 27.
Starring more than 100 local dancers in 14 original pieces of choreography, this year's show, which features the theme, "A Moment in Time," starts at 7 p.m. each evening at the Steamboat Springs High School auditorium. There will also be a children's matinée at 1 p.m. Jan. 27.
Steamboat Dance Theatre aims to engage, educate and enrich the community through dance. The 2017 lineup includes jazz, swing, contemporary, hip-hop, tap, hula and aerial dances.
As Steamboat Dance Theatre's largest fundraiser, the annual concert's proceeds fund the volunteer organization's dance scholarship program.
Tickets are $25 for reserved seats, $20 for general admission and $15 for students and seniors. They can be purchased at steamboatdancetheatre.org.
