Workshop for parents addresses learning needs

A parent workshop about accommodations and modifications to curriculum for children with learning difficulties is from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Northwest Colorado BOCES Conference Room, 325 Seventh St. Dinner is at 6 p.m. For reservations, call PEAK Parent Center at (800) 284-0251.

Student work on display at Depot Art Center

The Steamboat Springs High School Art Show opens at the Depot Art Center from Tuesday to Friday. The show features National Art Honors Society students’ work. The show’s opening is from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday. The show was designed and organized by Sierra Lovejoy-Dragonn as her senior project.

Strike up the band: Hayden concert Tuesday

Hayden Schools Music in Our Hearts Concert is at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hayden High School. Featuring fourth- and fifth-grade music students and all Hayden band students.

Enrichment program features actor, author

Author, historical actor and educator Joseph Marshall III will be the featured speaker at a Colorado Mountain College Alpine Enrichment Program at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Bogue Hall, Room 300 on the CMC campus.

Run, walk for schools at Spirit Challenge

The Spirit Challenge running race is from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday. Registration is $20 in advance for adult runners and walkers. The event includes a walkathon for students in grades kindergarten through six; a 5K walk; and 5K and 10K runs. Proceeds benefit education programs for Routt County schools.
