HONORS, ACCOLADES
STEAMBOAT SPRINGSNathan Gustav Anderson and Katie Marjory Luce of Steamboat Springs have been named to the dean’s list of Bemidji State University in Bemidji, Minn., for carrying 12 or more semester hours and earning at least a 3.25 grade point average for the spring semester.

NOVEL, SEMINAR PROGRAMS OFFERED
STEAMBOAT SPRINGSJanie Swartz of Colorado Mountain College’s Alpine Campus has started a new program open and free to the public. The Alpine Enrichment Program provides two subprograms titled “Novel Ideas” and “Speaker Seminar Series.” Novel Ideas was created to provide the community with a forum for book discussions. The first Novel Ideas class begins Sept. 26 on “Stop Spitting at Your Brother” by Diane White-Crane. The first Speaker Seminar Series begins Sept. 12 on “Strategies for Writing Local History” with Sureva Towler. This program was designed to provide the community with information relating to various topics of life. Classes are at 7 p.m. Wednesdays in Bogue Hall Room 300 at the Alpine Campus. Classes are free unless otherwise specified.
