September 18, 2016
Construction of the Yampa and Oak Street improvement projects continue the week of Sept. 19.
Continuing Monday, Sept. 19, Yampa Street will be closed to vehicular traffic between Sixth and Eighth streets, including both the Seventh and Eighth street intersections.
As work progresses throughout the week, crews will work toward reopening the Eighth Street intersection to vehicular traffic.
The area between Sunpies and Aurum on the south side of Yampa Street at the Eight-Street intersection with be closed to allow crews to install new sidewalk. Pedestrians will be safely routed around the sidewalk closure areas throughout the week, and a pedestrian crossing corridor will be open between Seventh and Eighth streets.
Maintaining access to all businesses is a priority. Signage and wayfinding will continue to be installed during the required closures. For everyone's safety, the city asks visitors, employees and residents to respect closures and use the designated detours and parking areas.
