City offers updates on construction projects

Continuing this week, Yampa Street will be closed to vehicular traffic between Sixth and Eighths streets, including the Sixth and Seventh street intersections. The Eighth Street intersection has been reopened to vehicular traffic.

Portions of the sidewalk on the south side of Yampa will be closed intermittently, and pedestrians will be safely routed around the sidewalk closure throughout the week. A pedestrian crossing corridor will be open between Seventh and Eighth streets, and the public parking lot at Seventh and Yampa streets will remain open and accessible from Seventh Street.

Maintaining access to all businesses is a priority. Signage and wayfinding will continue to be installed during the required closures. The city asks visitors, employees and residents to respect all closures and use the designated detours and parking areas. Additional parking is available at the 10th and Yampa street parking lot, the rodeo grounds parking lot and Howelsen Hill parking lots.

Construction work hours are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays.

A bi-weekly public information meetings is schedules for 9 a.m. Friday, Oct. 7, at Aurum Food & Wine, 811 Yampa St.
