STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — Think you've got talent?

Then, Paula Salky, director of LiftUp of Routt County’s inaugural benefit and variety show, Food Aid 2018, wants to see you shine.

Salky is seeking musicians, dancers and entertainers for the show, which will be held Jan. 20, 2018. She will be hosting auditions on Monday, Dec. 11 and Tuesday, Dec. 12.

"I used to work at the schools, and it's just so sad to see these kids who are food insecure," said Salky. "I have so many friends who are actors and singers, I just thought, 'why not have a benefit?'”

She will use scoring criteria on overall performance, star factor, audience appeal, stage appearance, natural ability and originality to select the Steamboat stars who will perform for Food Aid 2018. A winner will be selected the evening of the show, and a trophy will be awarded.

“I’m so excited to have this opportunity to take the best in our community and have them be a part of LiftUp’s newest event that we hope will become an annual way to show off our talent and raise awareness of what LiftUp does in the community," Salky said.
