Business File: Christy Sports now delivers retail items

Customers in Steamboat Springs now can have retail merchandise from Christy Sports delivered to their door, through the store's Web site, according to a news release.

Christy Sports announced this month that it has added retail merchandise to its ski and snowboard rental delivery service. For vacationers, the service includes the option of having the purchase mailed home to avoid airline baggage fees, the release stated.

Wells Fargo's Jill Leary plans to retire March 1

Jill Leary, Wells Fargo's community banking president for the Steamboat Springs market, will retire March 1 after 30 years, said Greg Majors, Wells Fargo's community banking president for the mountain resort market, during an announcement last week.

"Jill has been a tremendous leader for our Steamboat and Winter Park teams," Majors said in a news release. "Her understanding of our business and passion for helping our team members and customers succeed is second to none."

Leary joined Wells Fargo in 1979 and has spent her entire career with the company in Steamboat Springs. She was named community banking president in January 2004. During her career, Leary managed functions including consumer lending, deposit operations, proof operations, bookkeeping operations and retail sales, while also developing strong client relationships and providing cash management and analysis solutions, according to the release. Leary also has been an active community member, involved in numerous local organizations.

Moots ships ultralight new road-bike frame

Moots Cycles shipped last week its new Vamoots RSL (Race Super Light) road frame, from the Moots factory in Steamboat Springs to Above Category, a full-service bike shop in Mill Valley, Calif., according to a news release.

The Vamoots RSL is a 52-centimeter stock frame complemented with a Moots 30.9 Cinchpost, the new RSL Stem and new decal package. It features the new Moots roadie gator headbadge. The frame is the result of more than 18 months of research, design and product testing, thousands of road miles and countless refinements, according to the news release.

The Vamoots RSL is the lightest and stiffest road frame ever from Moots.  

Moots Cycles enhanced its road offerings for 2010 with the introduction of the new Vamoots RSL and the redesigned Vamoots CR and Vamoots road bikes, creating frame models for specific rider profiles, according to the news release.
