Realtors from all over western Colorado came out for the Coldwell Banker Distinctive Properties & Coldwell Banker Commercial Prime Properties selling incentive $10,000 giveaway event, held at The Porches.

The stipulation was that any realtor who sold one of Coldwell Banker's listings in a 40-listing period was entered to win $10,000. For each listing sold, the realtor's name went into the drum on a piece of paper, making it so some realtors’ names went in several times, heightening the excitement level.

One by one the names were drawn out, in a process of elimination fashion. When the final three were left, the realtors were given a proposition — they could split the $10,000 three ways or draw out yet another name.

Being the gambler that he is, Robert Yazbeck, Coldwell Banker Distinctive Properties managing director, pushed until only one name was left, ultimately ending in his favor and winning the $10,000. Immediately following his win, Yazbeck announced his intention to donate 50 percent of his winnings to the Steamboat Springs Board of Realtors Scholarship Fund.

"I feel very fortunate to be the lucky winner, and I am thrilled for the opportunity to give back to the community via the Steamboat Springs Board of Realtors Scholarship Fund," Yazbeck said.

Local broker named top 1 percent on Trulia

Martin Dragnev, broker/owner with Colorado Group Realty in Steamboat Springs, has recently been awarded the prestigious honor of being selected as a top 1 percent agent on Trulia. This award recognizes agents based on 2014 sales and client reviews.

"I would like to thank my clients for honoring me with this high award,” Dragnev said. “I couldn't have done it without them. With such scarce market supply in the last few months, we are at a point where agents have to go above and beyond with their customer service and implement a variety of different methods to find good opportunities for their clients and I'm glad to see that hasn't gone unnoticed."

Dragnev is joining an exclusive list of only four other local agents recognized with this designation.
