Brown and white dog evades capture: The Record for Wednesday, May 16, 2018

1:08 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of loud bass coming from a unit in the 700 block of Walton Pond Circle. There was no excessive noise coming from the unit when officers arrived, though a television could be heard from the unit’s exterior. There was no response at the door. This has been an ongoing complaint.

8:48 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a dog making strange noises in an alley between Oak and Pine streets. The reporting party was concerned the dog may be injured but was unable to leave their location to check. When officers arrived, no dog was present in the alley.

10:32 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a black and white female cat with a collar near the 1800 block of Central Park Drive. The cat’s owner was able to retrieve the cat before officers arrived.

2:03 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person behaving strangely at a business in the 200 block of Anglers Drive. Police spoke to employees about the suspicious person who left before officers arrived.

3:39 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a brown and white dog standing in the roadway near Mount Werner Circle. The dog’s owner attempted unsuccessfully to catch the dog. When officers arrived, the dog could not be found.
