Stagecoach Reservoir

has opened for boating

The reservoir at Stagecoach State Park has opened for boating. Park officials said the reservoir should be full within a week and that boat ramps at the Marina and Morrison Cove are open for launching.

The inlet is running at about 175 cubic feet per second and will peak at 300 cfs, causing fairly muddy water at the Yampa River. The river is running at about 100 cfs at this time but will increase after the water starts spilling over. Many successful fly-fishers are using green or red midges with a size 20 hook
