Rotary Club Community Grants program deadline is Sunday, April 15

The Rotary Club of Steamboat Springs has extended the deadline for its Community Grants program trough today. Each year, the club distributes about $10,000 to nonprofit organizations, clubs and individuals. These funds are available through earnings on the club's endowment, together with other dollars gained through Rotary fundraising projects. The application form and guidelines are on the club's website at steamboatrotary.com on the right side of the home page. Instructions for submitting the application are included with the application form.

Applications accepted for LiftUp Hope for the Future scholarship

LiftUp of Routt County is accepting applications for the Hope for the Future Scholarship. Those eligible to apply include graduating high school seniors, students currently enrolled in college, trade or vocational school and adults interested in increasing their self-sufficiency by enrolling in college, trade or vocational school. Scholarship applications can be downloaded from liftuprc.org and must be submitted by today.

Oak Creek, Yampa libraries offer free copy of 'Groovey Joe' book

A celebration of One Book For Colorado, "Groovy Joe: Dance Party Revolution" by Eric Litwin, will be held at the Oak Creek and Yampa public libraries. Through the end of April, parents can pick up a free copy of the book at either library for their 3- and 4-year-old children. There are also limited copies in Spanish available. The books will be handed out to Story Time attendees from 10 to 10:45 a.m. on Wednesdays at the Oak Creek Public Library.

Integrated Community hosts special tutoring event Tuesday

Integrated Community is holding a Tamales and Tutoring event from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 17 in the organization's conference room of 443 Oak St. in downtown Steamboat Springs.
