Robbins offered plea in vehicular homicide case

A Denver man facing charges of vehicular homicide for a June accident that killed a Clark man has been offered a plea bargain by the Grand County district attorney.

Daniel Robbins, 31, is facing charges of manslaughter, vehicular homicide and reckless driving for his role in a car accident that killed 22-year-old Jeffrey Harris.

Robbins was driving north on Colorado Highway 9 near Kremmling on June 10 when he lost control of the Dodge Viper he was driving and hit a guardrail. Harris was flown to a Denver hospital but later died of his injuries.

Grand County District Attorney Dan Edwards said Friday that he had offered a plea bargain in the case. He would not provide any details about the offer. Charles Feldmann, Robbin’s Steamboat Springs attorney, confirmed that a plea bargain had been offered. He would not give any additional information about the offer because he had not been able to talk about it with his client.
