McInnis’ office manager will be in town Friday
Rep. Scott McInnis, R- Grand Junction, announced that his Glenwood Springs Office Manager Holly Stephens will be in Steamboat Springs from 8 to 9 a.m. Friday at Centennial Hall. Residents having problems with a federal agency or those who would like to relay their position on a given issue to the congressman are encouraged to visit with her.
Teen Program, Teen Style hosting battle of bands
The city of Steamboat Springs Teen Program and the Steamboat Pilot’s Teen Style will be hosting a Battle of the Bands for musicians in middle school and high school. The event is scheduled for May 21. If you are interested in participating, call Brooke Lachman at 879-6960 or Autumn Phillips at 871-4210 to register.
Editorial Board seeking community members
The Steamboat Pilot & Today is accepting nominations for community representatives on its Editorial Board. The community representatives would serve a four-month term from May 1 through Aug. 31.

The Editorial Board includes two community representatives and four members of the newspaper staff. The Editorial Board formulates the Our View opinions expressed on the ViewPoints page of the newspaper.
Readers interested in serving on the Editorial Board should send a letter of 500 words or less expressing their interest in the board to Stanford at email@example.com or at P.O. Taylor, White to speak
at Lincoln Day Dinner
State Sen. Jack Taylor and Rep. Al White will be guest speakers at the Routt County Republicans’ annual Lincoln Day Dinner. The event begins at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Old Town Pub, and dinner will be served at 6 p.m. A fund-raising auction will be held after dinner. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased from Amy Williams at the Routt County Courthouse. Call 879-6048.
Boys2Men Career Day

Volunteers are needed for Boys2Men Career Day on April 13. The career day is from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Colorado Mountain College. Volunteers should call Sherri at 871-3598.
Six-week creative dance classes offered at studio
A six-week spring session of creative dance classes offered by Children’s Danceworks begins Monday for ages 3 through 8. Parent-toddler classes and a boys-only workshop for 6- through 9-year-olds with male guest teachers will be offered. Call Wendy at 736-1005 to register.
