Brent Rowan to play for CHS

Brent Rowan will perform for Christian Heritage School’s Annual Auction Fund-raiser on March 26. This year’s theme, “The Fingerprints of God,” celebrates the children at CHS. A silent auction starts at 6 p.m. will be followed by dessert. The evening’s entertainment starts at 7:45 p.m. Tickets are $25, and reservations must be made in advance as seating is limited. Strings holds Lennon tribute

Strings in the Mountains presents “A Day in His Life,” a tribute to John Lennon, by Tim Piper and his band at 8 p.m. March 26 at the Steamboat Christian Center.

Piper portrays not only the Beatles’ music in the style and sound of the original recordings but also Lennon’s personality, appearance, mannerisms and humor. Piper has portrayed Lennon twice on national television, as well as with his band at the John Lennon Birthday Memorial in New York City in 2001.

Opera potluck held March 28

SummerArt needs entries

The Steamboat Springs Arts Council is seeking entries for SummerArt 2004, a multimedia juried fine-art exhibit and sale to be held July 8 through Sept. 5 at the Eleanor Bliss Center for the Arts at the Depot Art Center. Entries should be submitted as 35 mm slides by April 23. Orchestra to play concert

The Steamboat Springs Chamber Orchestra presents its Spring 2004 Concert with musical selections from Copland, Bach, Golterman and Beethoven. Shows are at 7 p.m. April 2 and 3 at the Steamboat Springs High School Auditorium. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students and seniors, and free for children younger than 12. Tickets are available at the Depot Art Center or at the door. Call 879-9008.

Blues Traveler tickets on sale

Tickets are on sale for Blues Traveler. Blues Traveler will return to Steamboat for a 21-and-older show at 8 p.m. April 9 in the Steamboat Grand Hotel and Conference Center Ballroom. Tickets are $25 in advance; $28 at the door. Tickets are available at All That Jazz, Mount Werner Sinclair and Gondola Sportstalker.
