LOBSTER FEST FUND-RAISER FOR MUSEUM CONTINUES

STEAMBOAT SPRINGSHands-On! Children’s Museum presents a Lobster Fest as a fund-raiser for the museum.

Advance orders for live lobsters are being taken through Monday. To place your order, stop by the museum on Eighth Street between Lincoln Avenue and Yampa Street.

Lobsters will be available for pick up at the Steamboat Seafood and Meat Company from 3 to 6 p.m. Oct. 5.

One to four lobsters are $18 per 1.14-pound lobster; five to eight lobsters are $17 per lobster; more than eight lobsters are $16 per lobster.

All proceeds will benefit the museum.

COMMUNITY BLOOD DRIVE SET FOR OCT. 2 AT AIRPORT

STEAMBOAT SPRINGSThe community blood drive is from 12:30 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Steamboat Springs Airport Bob Adams Field.

Tips for giving blood include eating a healthy, low-fat meal within four hours of donation, drinking plenty of fluids before and after donation, and relaxing for 10 to 15 minutes after donation.

AUXILIARY PRESENTS ‘STEAMBOAT IN STYLE’

STEAMBOAT SPRINGSYampa Valley Medical Center Auxiliary presents “Steamboat in Style” at noon Oct. 7 at the Sheraton Grand Ballroom. Steamboat in Style features a brunch and the latest fall fashions from Kali’s Boutique, Chez Nous, Mango and Bushwackers.

Each of the shops selected a variety of fall and winter fashions with jewelry and accessories.

Tickets are available at all participating stores and from Auxiliary members for $25.

Proceeds will benefit women’s services at the Yampa Valley Medical Center. Call 879-3139 for more
