Friday, July 21
Open House at the Historic Mesa Schoolhouse
2 to 4 p.m. | Mesa Schoolhouse, 33985 U.S. Highway 40.
Join the Tread of Pioneers Museum and tour the historic Mesa Schoolhouse. Experience student and teacher life at the turn-of-the-century in this one-room schoolhouse. Learn about historic toys and recess games, Routt County school history and more. Children can play with replica historic toys. Free fun for family. Co-sponsored by Historic Routt County.
Garden and Flowers Photography Workshop with Jim Steinberg
5:30 to 7:30 p.m. | The Portfolio Collection, 1016 Oak St.

The workshop will start at Steinberg's downtown gallery with a wine and cheese reception and slide-show lecture setting the building blocks for creating better photographs. The workshop will be personalized to individual photography experience, and all levels of photographers and all styles of cameras (including smartphones) are welcome.
Saturday, July 22
Tour de Steamboat
7 a.m. to 7 p.m. | Little Toots Park, 55 12th St.
This annual bicycle event that brings together 1,000 cyclists for a one-day ride through beautiful Northwest Colorado. Tour de Steamboat is known as a non-competitive event, and participants are encouraged to ride at their own pace. The race also offers aid stations, support and end-of-the-ride barbecue and beer garden with local microbrews. The Tour de Steamboat Benefit Raffle drawing will be held at 5:30 p.m. with five prizes for one $50 ticket. Find prize listing at tourdesteamboat.com.
Noon to 10 p.m. | Storm Peak Brewing Co., 1885 Elk River Plaza.
Help Storm Peak officially celebrate the expansion of its new brewery and taproom. There will be live music from Backyard Science and food from Dude & Dan’s Food Cart. They will also be releasing the first canned brews from the new facility.
Yoga and a Beer

Fish Fest for Foodies
2 to 4 p.m. | Stagecoach State Park, 2550 Routt County Road 14
Join the Stagecoach State Park staff as they prepare and share their favorite recipes and fishing tips. Samples of various trout and pike preparations (grilled, fried, pickled, smoked, salad) will be available for tasting, and the staff will be available for Q&A. Samples available on a first-come, first-served basis. Meet at Arrowhead Group Picnic Area. The event is free, but all vehicles must have a valid park entry pass.
Laura Resau and Laura DiSilverio
5:30 to 6:30 p.m. | Off the Beaten Path, 68 Ninth St.
Nationally recognized authors Laura Resau and Laura DiSilverio will be in town during the weekend for the annual Writer’s Conference of Steamboat Springs. They will host a series of writing workshops and will give a special reading at Off The Beaten Path. Both women will join to discuss a variety of their works, which the bookstore will be carrying in store for your enjoyment.
Movies on the Mountain: Moana
8:45 p.m. | Gondola Stage, 2305 Mt Werner Cir.
Bring lawn chairs and blankets, and stretch out under the stars near the Steamboat Stage in Gondola Square. Snacks and beverages will be available for purchase.
Guided Night Hike
9:30 to10:30 p.m. | Steamboat Lake State Park, 61105 Routt County Road 129.
Bring a flashlight, but we're not going to be using them. Join our interpreter for a 1-mile, guided hike to see the tombstone nature trail in a way you haven't before, and experience the park at night. Meet at the tombstone nature trailhead.
Sunday, July 23
Yoga at the Beach
8:30 to 9:30 a.m. | Stagecoach State Park, 25500 County Rd. 14, Oak Creek
Start your day with a calm mind and healthy energy. Certified yoga instructor Jen Johnson will lead the hour-long class on the beautiful swim beach. Bring a mat (or beach towel), sunscreen and water. This all ages, all levels class is free, but donations will be accepted.
