Annual Baptist General Convention meeting today
Steamboat Springs — The 52nd annual Colorado Baptist General Convention meeting is today in Steamboat Springs. A luncheon is at 11 a.m. at The Cabin restaurant at the Steamboat Grand Resort Hotel. This is a time for women to come together for spiritual renewal and experience refreshment for everyday life. Guest speaker Casey Ewen will share an inspirational message. Nonprofit workshop offered Thursday
The Yampa Valley Community Foundation and the Nonprofit Excellence Project invite executive directors of nonprofit organizations and their staffs to a free workshop called “Creating Ambassadors for Your Mission” from 2:30 to 4 p.m. on Thursday at the Depot Art Center. Jeff Pryor, executive director of the Anschutz Family Foundation, will be the featured speaker. From 4:15 to 5 p.m., Pryor will give an overview of the Anschutz Family Foundation, which is based in Denver and committed to developing and funding rural nonprofits (to learn more about the foundation, visit http://www.anschutzfamilyfoundation.org). Vision 2030 meetings held throughout Routt County
Vision 2030 community meetings are scheduled throughout Routt County in November, as part of the Vision 2030 update and discovery of what we value in our valley. Come and make your voice heard about what you believe makes the Yampa Valley special, and what values you think should be considered in future planning, growth and development. Meetings will feature discussion groups and keypad polling to let every idea and opinion be heard. A light supper and childcare will be provided.
All meetings are from 6 to 9 p.m., at the following dates and locations:
North Routt Nov. 1 at Fire Station Two at Steamboat Lake
