Style columnist wins award for humor

Steamboat Springs — Steamboat Springs resident Joanne Palmer recently won second place in HumorPress.com’s “America’s Funniest Humor!” contest. Palmer’s award-winning essay, “Memorandum,” will be showcased on HumorPress.com through the end of July and also will appear in an upcoming print edition of “America’s Funniest Humor!”
HumorPress.com is one of Google’s highest ranked humor contest sites, with contests and publishing opportunities for humor writers. Dental Coalition opens
office in Steamboat
The Northwest Colorado Dental Coalition has opened a satellite office in Steamboat Springs. The coalition provides services for children on CHP+ and Medicaid and children and adults who qualify for the sliding fee schedule. Hahn’s Peak event
The second annual Hahn’s Peak Arts, Crafts and Antiques Fair is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 25. Anyone who would like space for the fair should call Marge at 879-7291. Spaces are $30 each, with proceeds benefiting the Hahn’s Peak Historical Society.
