Q. When did you move to Routt County, and what brought you here?
A. June 2003. My husband and I considered living in Durango, Taos or Steamboat. Fortunately, my husband got a job offer from the U.S. Forest Service in Steamboat. So, here we are.
Q. What’s the biggest risk you’ve taken recently?

A. Having a child.
Q. Describe your morning routine.
A. Get up at 5:45 a.m., shower, make coffee, help my husband get my daughter ready for day care, get to work at 7:30 a.m.
Q. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
A. A marriage is not about keeping score.
Q. What three things would you want people to know about you?
A. 1. I have a wonderful husband, Lance, and beautiful daughter, Emma. 2. I moved to the mountains the day after I graduated from college because this is the lifestyle that I wanted for myself. 3. I like to talk a lot; my friends and family have grown accustomed to this.
Q. What did you want to be when you grew up?
A. A marine biologist.
Q. If you could invite any four people to dinner, who would they be and what would you talk about?
A. My granny who has passed away, my grandfather who I never had a chance to meet, Matt Lauer and Ronald Reagan. We would talk about what was the most interesting thing that happened to them in their lives.
Q. Do you collect anything?
A. The standard girl things: shoes, clothes and purses.
Q. Do you have a tattoo? If so, what of and why did you choose it?
A. Happily no. When I went to get a tattoo, they said that I needed an appointment. I took that as a sign since I ended up at the shop on a whim.
Q. What is your favorite thing to do in Routt County?
A. Cross-country skiing, including a wine and cheese picnic with my family on a sunny winter day.
