Q. When did you move to Routt County, and what brought you here?
A. Fall 2003. The mountains. A place that seemed to have a sense of community.

Q. What’s the biggest risk you’ve taken recently?
A. Baking/building a friend’s wedding cake a couple weekends ago.
Q. Describe your morning routine.
A. Get untangled from my faux silk sheets, brush my teeth, walk Spring Creek with my dog Farva, come home for our breakfast in the sun on the back deck, then double-check I haven’t forgotten anything and get to work.
Q. Has a book ever changed your life? What was it and why?
A. The Indian Tipi: It’s History, Construction and Use. I built and lived in the most magical place! (Also, thanks to The Shady Lady).
Q. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
A. “Spend it wisely.” My great-grandmother who is still alive today has given me a $10 check for every birthday and Christmas for as long as I can remember. Every time, to this day, she tells me to spend it wisely. It has always made me conscious of spending my money on things that are important to me or that I really need. I think it has also made me conscious of spending time, energy and passion wisely, too.
Q. What three things would you want people to know about you?
A. I would do anything for family and friends. I love to dance. I can make the best out of poop.
Q. What did you want to be when you grew up?
A. Photographer for National Geographic.
Q. If you could invite any four people to dinner, who would they be and what would you talk about?
A. Gary Snyder, Andy Goldsworthy, Bono, the Dali Lama. Stuff.
Q. Do you collect anything?
A. Rocks, sticks, vintage dishware.
Q. In the Meatloaf song, “I would do anything for love, but I won’t do that,” what is that?
A. Hopefully I’ll never find out.
Q. What was your first job?
A. At a sweet greenhouse tending beautiful flowers all day.
Q. Who is your favorite superhero? Why?
A. She-Ra. One tough chick. Cool mask, sword, castle, and owl sidekick.
Q. Do you have a tattoo? If so, what of and why did you chose it?
A. No, I just got my ears pierced last year and had to hold my mom’s hand for that.
