Cool Pool Pentathlon
Steamboat Springs — The Cool Pool Pentathlon is at 10 a.m. Thursday at Old Town Hot Springs. Teams of five (kindergarten to second grade, third to fifth grades and sixth to eighth grades) run the course, which includes climbing the stairs and racing down the slide, running the length of the shallow pool, kayaking in the lap pool and swimming or kicking one length of the lap pool. The cost is $25 per team. Call 970-879-1828 to sign up. The deadline is Tuesday.
Water slides open Nov. 23
Water slides will be open from 4 to 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays from Nov. 23 to Dec. 14. After Dec. 14, water slides will be open daily from 4 to 8 p.m. through the end of the ski season. An unlimited ride bracelet is $6. A child must be 44 inches tall to ride the slide.
Classes are offered at 6:15 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; 8:30 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays; 6 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays; 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays; and 8 a.m. Saturdays. The cost is $5 for members, $16 for visitors or $40 for a punch card.
The price has been reduced to $5 for November TRX classes, which begin Monday. One-hour classes start at 1:15 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays. Sign up in advance to reserve your space.
Aqua Conditioning with Marietta Roberts is at 12:15 p.m. Thursdays. Fit for Life is at 8:30 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. H20 Deep Water Workout class is 12:15 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Classes are free for members.

Aqua personal training sessions with certified personal trainers Sara Gorevan and Marietta Roberts are being offered. The session is being treated as a private swim lesson, so make your reservation through the front desk and purchase a swim lesson ticket. The cost is $28 for members and $34 for visitors. A booklet of five tickets also is available.
First aid class
An American Red Cross Certification class for CPR/AED (cardio pulmonary resuscitation/automated external defibrillator) and first aid. The class will cost $60. Alexis Wolf is the instructor. The classes are from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5 and Jan. 9. Preregister at the front desk.
Child care is free Wednesday. Hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 3:45 to 6:45 p.m. The Childcare Center welcomes children 8 weeks to 10 years old.
The Childcare Center will extend its hours to 8 p.m. Nov. 16 for Date Night. Parents are invited to drop off the kids and get a massage, work out in the Fitness Center or go for an evening soak in the Heart Spring. The cost for child care is $3.50 per hour for members or $6 per hour for visitors. Call the Childcare Center at 970-879-1828, ext. 305, for more information.
