Steamboat Springs City Council: Please think about this quote before you vote on cutting our summer marketing budget. Currently, our little town has more “open retail space” than “open space.” Our infrastructure is huge, and we are a sales tax-based economy. We cannot afford to go back to the bleak summer economies of the ’70s and ’80s. Please keep Steamboat Springs an affordable place to live with relatively low property taxes, and keep our summer marketing budget where it is.
