13th annual Steamboat Wine Festival tickets on sale

The 13th annual Steamboat Wine Festival, which brings more than 500 fine wines, sommeliers, award-winning chefs and activities, takes place August 10 to 14.

— The Steamboat Wine Festival will uncork its 13th year Aug 10 through 14 in Steamboat Springs.

Each year, the festival brings in more than 500 fine wines from around the world, on-site sommeliers, award-winning chefs and a variety of activities designed to help patrons sip their way through the weekend.

"This kind of event really highlights how amazing Steamboat Springs is," said Amanda Power, producer of Live Events at Townsquare Media. "There are so many great restaurants and chefs that we partner with … (and) … are really excited about. It's an amazing weekend for people to come and stay, hike and participate in a lot of activities …"

Trails and Tannins — 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 12 at

Presented by Infiniti of Denver and Live Events at Townsquare Media, this year’s Steamboat Wine Festival will feature new wines and pairings, as well as expert-led seminars and culinary demonstrations.

A few of the popular tasting seminars include "Trails and Tannins,” the "Pedal and Pour" bike ride tasting, a "Brave the Mountain" hiking tour and tasting and a stand-up paddle boarding event called "SUP & Suds."

There will also be a free concert kick-off party with the 6 Million Dollar Band, a popular ’80s cover band, Aug. 11 in Gondola Square.

Steamboat Adaptive Recreational Sports will be the beneficiary of the event again this year, with a percentage of ticket sales to be donated to the organization. STARS, founded in 2006, offers recreational opportunities for people with disabilities with a mission to empower and enrich the quality of life for its participants.

Grand Tasting tickets are now on sale for $99 per person and include access to all chef demonstrations and unlimited food, wine and spirit tastings. VIP Grand Tasting tickets are $150 per person and include early entrance.

Ticket prices for other seminars, additional events and VIP packages range from $65 to $230 per person and can be purchased online at steamboatwinefestival.com.
