Ehren River Wright, aka SoDown, is a staple in the Colorado music scene. Featuring live saxophone, Wright describes his music as an endlessly evolving medley of many different genres, culminating in a uniquely diverse style of bass music.

Meet an Olympian: Ann Battelle

10 a.m. | Steamboat Ski Area, 2305 Mount Werner Circle

Stop by the “Meet an Olympian” chat at the Olympian display on the second floor of Thunderhead Lodge at the top of the gondola. Steamboat Resort will present a series of chats with Steamboat Olympians throughout the season, providing guests a front-row seat to meet Olympians, see their medals and learn what it’s like to compete at an elite level. Hot cocoa and Champagne Powder® doughnuts will be served.

Emerald Mountain Snowshoe Tour

10 a.m. to noon | Howelsen Hill Rodeo Grounds, 401 Howelsen Pkwy.

Ride the chairlift up historic Howelsen Hill to enjoy spectacular views of the Yampa Valley and learn more about winter ecology from a Yampatika naturalists. Cost is $20 and includes snowshoes and lift ticket. Registration is required: yampatika.org or 970- 871-9151.

CU Buffoon’s Concert

7 p.m. | Colorado Mountain College Steamboat Springs, 1275 Crawford Ave.

Opera Steamboat presents the CU Buffoons, back by popular demand, for an evening of perfectly crafted harmonies, finger snapping rhythms and merriment sure to please. The talented (and equally comical) vocalists from University of Colorado are hailed as one of the top 10 college acapella groups in the country. Tickets are $30 general admission, $10 for students with ID and $5 for kids 12 and younger.

Kyle Hollingsworth Band with special guests, Cycles

Kyle Hollingsworth is the keyboard player and big contributor to the acclaimed jam masters The String Cheese Incident. He is revered by both peers and fans for his ability to write and perform in a mosaic of styles, from rock to classical, ragtime to bebop.

View the beauty of six magnificent hot air balloons that will illuminate the mountain village. Spectators can stroll among the standing balloons or watch from the warmth of a nearby watering hole.

Motel Radio

Motel Radio is a rock band based in New Orleans, Louisiana, that formed in 2014, to create sound rooted in Americana. Tickets are $10 and available at chieftheater.com also available at All That, 601 Lincoln Ave.
