The crowd Saturday at Cypress Mountain was phenomenal. I'd compare it to an American football game. It reminded me of a Saturday rivalry game. It was every bit as good as many college and NFL games I've been to. The qualification round begin at 4:30 p.m. Gates opened at 1:30 p.m. and the place was full by 2:30 p.m. And the weather? It was nasty. Snow, wind, unbelievably cold rain and sometimes all three. But the crowd showed up early, stayed between rounds and was as loud during the finals as they were at the beginning. A real moment I'll remember. Finally, two photos of Cypress. One to show the conditions, the other the crowd.
