Mitt Romney on Tuesday did something no other presidential candidate has ever done. He campaigned in Craig. And the Republican Party presidential nominee didn’t hesitate to criticize President Barack Obama.
At a public event Tuesday in Craig, Romney said his administration would create an energy policy that utilizes all of America’s natural resources, including coal, natural gas and oil.
As Tuesday morning wore on, the line would only grow longer as an estimated 2,000 people gathered to catch a glimpse of the first presidential candidate ever to visit Craig.
Routt County Republicans flocked to Craig, where Mitt Romney reaffirmed his support for coal as an energy source.
The Republican presidential candidate focused on energy during his campaign stop at Alice Pleasant park in Craig this morning. "Coal equals job," he told a crowd of supporters that included local miners. "I want coal, gas, oil and nuclear, as well as renewables."
