The first of a series of storms headed for Colorado is set to arrive Friday, and it looks like it'll benefit southern Colorado more than our region of the state, but things are looking up for Steamboat toward the end of the weekend.
According to the 5 a.m. ski report, Steamboat Ski Area should have five lifts and 31 trails available to skiers Wednesday.
For the past four weeks, it felt as if it hadn’t snowed since the last Ice Age.

Four lifts, 17 trails and 8 inches of powder were in store for those lucky enough to be at Steamboat Ski Area on Tuesday morning. The offerings get better as the week goes on.
