Today's events include the start of the KITBall Klassic, at 5:30 p.m. at Howelsen Hill; square dancing from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at the American Legion Hall in Hayden; a screening of "Local Color," at 7 p.m. at the Depot Art Center; and hard-rocking Denver band Radioface, at 10 p.m. at The Tugboat Grill & Pub.

A new scholarship fundraiser by the Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association's Young Professionals Network encourages Routt County locals to "eat to educate." Tour de Forks, scheduled for Oct. 1 to 3, offers discounts to about two dozen Steamboat Springs restaurants.
