Yes Sedgemo, please check your math....your way off
i agree RCG......Maybe also if they took the waste of money bike cops off the street and had some police on foot downtown from 11-2am, this might have been prevented. Or how about getting rid of the lame parking cop. What's more important in a town that is supposed to be safe and inviting to tourists, parking tickets, dog at large tickets, people riding bikes on sidewalks, or.....the safety of people enjoying our downtown. Come on Stmbt police......I hope this is wake up call!
They were all drinking. This is way more than just a bar fight. Both Chicago kids were on the ground and these locals continued to kick the @##$ out of both of there heads. The boy is in very serious condition and is lucky to be alive. This has to stop in Steamboat. I really hope this Sam Warren gets what he deserves as well as the other 3 people who were helping him out. Completely uncalled for!
great to hear....thanks for the info
Matt, Nice comments! I too have had some close calls in my 25 years in Steamboat. I have 2 kids that ski with me every weekend, and it has become a normal part of their gear when we go on the mountain. The question I have, as well as the question my kids have asked me is: Why don't all of our ski patrol on the mountain where helmets? They are looked up upon by our kids as role models and it seems to me and to my kids that some where helmets, and some don't. I could be wrong in my opinions, but shouldn't they all where helmets to encourage others to do so as well. My opinion.....and of course its just my opinion is that Ski Corp should be setting good examples to our kids of the future, as well as encouraging safety. Just a thought:) Any comments Ski Corp?
Now if Chris Ward could start to market his shop a little more professionally, it would help out everyones perspective of this industry. I personally think it was his marketing that stirred this up in the first place. Grow up Chris!
Great comments Connor! I takes a lot of courage for someone of your age and position at a high school to voice and post such a comment. I commend you! Don't let any of the comments that will most likely be posted bother you or detour your opinions. We are all getting used to their boring and continual posts of their support for mmj. Stay strong and continue to be the leader you are.
I understand your point. How about I state it differently to not get into a senseless argument. Hunting does have a large impact on Routt, Moffat and Jackson counties. If you are not a hunter or in the hunting industry, you rarely will notice its impact. I understand that you might be skeptical.....thats fair. Here is a link that at least will show some of the impacts the industry has on our state, as well as our county. The whole point of my comment was that the 2 departments involved ...."I believe " mad a poor timing choice.
FYI, Hunting and fishing is the largest source of tourism revenue for Colorado.
I am in know way bashing on your comments....I just think that most people don't realize how much money hunting and fishing brings into Routt County and the State. This is a huge obstacle for our out of town hunters and they should have had this work done in the middle of the summer. Hunters will now be facing more congestion in North Routt and Rabbit Ears and because of that, I bet the harvest will be low this year due to more pressure and animals seeking private land. US Forest Service and CDOW as usual are making idiotic mistakes. Great pre-thought on this one!
looks like Sam Silva if you ask me
